The Cleveland Wing of the Commemorative Air Force welcomes you to our web site. We hope you will come and join us in our endeavor to maintain our classic World War II SNJ-4 trainer located at Lorain County Regional Airport just south of Elyria, Ohio. For a tax deductible donation, you can experience the thrill of a flight experience ride of 30 or 60 minutes in this beautifully preserved and well-maintained military aircraft.

The North American SNJ-4 advanced trainer, known as the "Texan," was flown by all military services during World War II. This trainer is of the type that all pilots used prior to going into high performance aircraft. The date December 6, 1941, is stamped on the engine name plate, the day before the infamous Pearl Harbor attack by the Japanese on December 7, 1941. This aircraft is a national treasure.

We also invite you to join the Cleveland Wing of the Commemorative Air Force to assist in our effort to preserve and present the heritage of World War II aviation. The only requisite for CAF membership is a sincere interest in the preservation of World War II aircraft. Membership is open to all men and women aged 18 or older. You need not be a pilot or military veteran to join the CAF.

On the second Saturday of each month we have "Donut Patrol." Open to anyone, wing member or not, we get together and enjoy each others' company and the atmosphere of aviation. Our monthly meetings are at the end of the month, scheduled around our airshow commitments. Please click this link to view our schedule.

Thank you for visiting the Cleveland Wing online, and feel free to contact us if you are interested in visiting our Hangar or joining our organization.
